I'm thinking of going bigger. I've had my tornado for 7 years. It's got a 50hp tohatsu 2005 on the back that gives speeds up to 40 knots. New tubes fitted last year, boat in excellent condition. Kept in Gunwhaft marina for the summer. Looking for £5500 may part exchange or swap. 07802795584

Post some pics
Be aware that if you're exaggerating though, you're probably going to get shot down in flames by the forum members.
I've not heard of the military using Tornados either, but I cold be wrong there.

Tornado certainly did make military spec boats. Not with wings though.

Tornado did make a number of RIBs for the military. I think they were deck boats for the Navy though not sure what sort of ships they went to.
These RIBs have a very shallow V so may be faster than you'd expect, although 40 knots does sound a bit optimistic!

I've seen one hit 40 knots out the back of a C-17.

Hi John thanks for your comment and yes its a very shallow hull. You've seen the boat yourself at my dads work Alan Priddy a few years back if you remember? It's not much heavier then a zap cat and uses the same engine. Don't get me wrong against wind and tide with 4 people on board it struggles hitting 20
