That looks very much like my old SR4.7 which was my new 4.7 when I bought it in 2003 . I regretted selling it and would be interested in buying it myself but I have a 4.7 which I'm just about to put back in the water(DEJA VOODOO).
It is rare and I think it can support that price if it is immaculate and the engine carries a service history. It's a buyers market at the moment so you can always make a cheeky offer 5.5 perhaps and see what happens.
BTW that sr4.7 was the best boat I've owned I regretted selling it and still do I don't think you will regret buying it if you do. As it's in Fareham I'll happily come and have a look at it if you need a second opinion
If you have biggish hands you will need to move the throttle out a bit as I used to catch my hand between the throttle and the steering wheel sometimes.

Got some more photos and after several phone calls I arranged to buy it and I was collecting tomorrow afternoon, but then got a message saying someone offered very near to the asking price so he took it!

No, just rang him and it's sold! someone has put a deposit on it yesterday and collecting later today???? He said I was the first caller and then the phone has not stopped ringing with people telling him that it's really rare and worth more????
I bought a very nice searider a year ago which was dry stored in North Wales, As I haven't seen it since I bought it I've decided to bring it down south and sell it!
