new 5m rib wanted

I've been asked to source a 5m or there abouts for my sailing club.

Any manufacturers wishing to quote pls PM / eMail or post here.

Decision will be made within a few weeks.

We're looking for roughly sub 5m, trailer, 50hp (willing to change spec if there a deal to be had).

Ex-Demo / New only please.

The RYA Ribcraft 4.8 package is a good deal - we just bought one in our club it flies with the Suzi 50 on the back.

I guess it depends on where it's going to be used. The Club uses it for dinghy training (i.e. coaches) and for taking to events to support sailors.

Most Clubs if they have a rib usually have either an SR4 with a 30 or so on the back, or a 5mish rib with a 50 or so on the back.

Does it?
My mate has one with a Mariner 60, 4-stroke, and it's hardly exhilerating.

We tend to down rate the RIBS due to inexperienced crew.

For many years we ran a tornado 4.8 with a 30.

Basically, if it can catch a cat (20knts) in a fair sea, it;s fast enough.

I will make a point of looking at Ribcraft (didnt know about the RYA package) and Humber, thanks.

Speak to Dave Rose at Ribquest reference 4.8m commercial or 5.8m commercial Antibes. They fit Suzuki 4-stroke. http://www.ribquest.com/boat_sales.html

Daniel, I had an e mail from Ribtec today asking for your details, I have linked them into your website so hopefully they will call you. I have their details if all else fails and you still wish to gain some info. Ian

Nice setup for the money.

It's not for us though, too many seats, A-frame in the way of towing and rescuing and suchlike.
