As the title suggests... I'm desperately seeking a 7.5M Osprey Vipermax after a friend decided not to sell his in the twelth hour.

Must be 2006+ and MUST be 250hp+ ideally a 2 stroke / e-tec, but will certainly concider a 4 stroke.

Budget of 25k... no finance needed, can collect anywhere in the UK within 48 hours, cash or bank transfer.

Give Roy Bishop at Osprey a call he may sell you his, not sure 25k will cut the mustard but you never know...

I do have to ask you a question? Do you realise how much cash and how many people were involved in ferrying the 27 Revenger over from St Helier for your arranged sea trial that you never cancelled or answered / returned any calls?
You did ruin quite a lot of people's weekends when you didn't show. It cost £1000 to ferrry the boat to Portsmouth. Then the owner had to ask a friend to go and pick her up to trailer her to Southampton.
Phil Morris, the Sales Director of Revenger, cancelled seeing his Grandson on that Saturday afternoon in order to take you out for a sea trial.
It would have been polite to at least give everyone some notice and cancel the arrangements.

Sorry for the slow response as I've only just looked at my add and noticed this rubbish. Are you taking the p*ss ?

Firstly, I'm shocked that you would air this on a public forum and then not have the decency to tell me it was on here. I don't feel like I have any need to defend myself as I have done nothing wrong. However, for the those who have seen this "advert" I feel I must. Especially as the advert was intended to help find me a craft.

Lets start at the beginning.

AT NO POINT DID I AGREE TO GO TO SOUTHAMPTON.

To give some background, I had previously intended to visit the craft in Jersey, however after getting a phone call from Alex stating that due to AND I QUOTE "a number of people are interested in viewing the craft and its difficult to get them to Jersey, so I'm moving it to Southampton".... the boat was being taken there for future viewing.

At no point did anyone tell me it was especially for me, and at no point did I say I would definitely be there ? Why the hell would I arrange to go if I didn’t intend to go ? I have been to Southampton 3 times in the pursuit of a RIB in the last month alone. Speak to Tom at JBT if you doubt me.

Also, I spoke to Alex well prior of the date and explained I may not be able to make it due to selling my own craft.

QUESTION FOR YOU JON. Why have you since approached me, recommending your friends COBRA that’s for sale !!!???? I p*ssed you off that much you wanted to sell me another boat ?

For what it matters, if anyone was put out on the day due to YOUR or Alex's over zealousness then I'm sorry on your behalf. But please note.... I DID AT NO POINT AGREE TO COME TO SOUTHAMPTON.

If that's the case, I do know of another very very good setup that's available. It's a cobra with new tubes, upholstery, trailer and wait for it a 300 verado on the back with remaining warranty....she's in plymouth.
She's a proper sea boat, having toured all around in some mahoosive seas! She's done scottish islands, jersey, lundy, scilly....
She's had nearly 20k spent on her in less than 16 months! She's owned by a really good close friend, and she's been maintained, at money no object
50 knot machine but not so 'flighty' as the super revenger.
