Looking for a Protector cabin Rib,or similar cabin rib.

Whilst protectors do come up in the uk, there are more common wheelhouse ribs around. What features are you looking for (length, engines, styling?) and what budget...

I want an proper all weather rib, around 8.5 mtrs,outboards, a pair of 200's or 300hp single (Suzuki preferred). Stylish looking, not a looking like a rib with a shed put on it !
Budget wise upto £60K
I keep seeing Protectors and they look just what I after.

There's one at Parkstone Bay Yachts. Twin 150s with high hours but under your budget. I've had lengthy chats with the broker but wasn't going to go where the vendor thinks it's worth. It's got chaps on for a reason! Owner put a YouTube video up when he first marketed it. I love them too but for the work that ones done it's a bit rich in my view. Keep looking and enjoy what you've got in the mean time

That on has been up for sale for some time.
Did you view ? I would love to know the condition of the tubes.
The whole boat looks a little "tired".

Not sure if it's a protector or the same one as you're discussing, but the one from the diamond jubilee with the Union Jack was for sale recently, I've had a wee in it so it has my approval

Looking more for the cuddy cabin of the Protector, did they know you had a pee on their boat ?
Now had another look, she is very similar to the Protector, I guess she has sold now as Apolloduck has expired the ad.

I had to sit down and do it the girls way as there's not enough room to stand and have a wee took ages wearing Salapetts and all that...

I think Thomas on here knows him, maybe he will know if it's still for sale?

I didn't look but the broker emailed a lot of photos of under the chaps. The tubes are sun bleached and look tired. I'm a bit of a boat nerd and realised there'd be too much extra cost to get it to where I would be happy and proud of owning it.

I also think it will need two new 200hp outboards and some point so it would have been a long term project for me.

The offer I made was very cheeky and I didn't expect a yes but I'm told the owner owns two other boats so while he's maybe not desperate for the cash it is often the time when the marina or the insurance needs paying that leads people to take an offer.

If you find a protector 28 Targa with bad tubes I have an almost brand new set down in Miami for the protector and can leave them at a very good price.
