Rhib wanted cash waiting.

Hi everyone.Bit of background for you. I am one of four members of a cruising club who are looking for a rhib to use for short runs,up river, quick channel dashes that sort of thing, instead of taking our cruisers out.
We are looking for a 4.2m min upto 5m poss 5.4m max, must have a reliable engine and hold air well, ideally we're looking as close to Bristol as possible, say within 150miles. We have set a budget of £2500 and have the cash waiting for the right rhib. Please feel free to contact me if you have something we may be interested in.
Thanks in advance.

Corr.. what an incentive for a 5.5m RIB .. you'll be wanting a full day skipper with that aswell ?

Whilst you might not have found the style constructive the actual meaning was.

You mean you have to have a sense of humour, not have a thin skin and be up for a bit of banter and leg pull!!

Okay. We will re-wind, what you are asking is IMHO not feasible with your budget constraints and if it were IMHO it would not be seaworthy.
You need to further research the present market for a good product and re-adjust you requirements and/or your budget.

Hope that helps.

Cheers
J

Yes sometimes rib.net can come across as a little abrasive however as been pointed out your expectations are not conducive with your budget...........................in laymans terms, you need more money!

Did the individual who told you that rumour put you up to asking here for a 5m RIB with a reliable engine for £2500? He's a very naughty boy!

Welcome to Ribnet, BTW. Only half of the members are tossers - the nice ones will be along shortly...

They WERE the nice ones, the tossers are biding their time for the kill[emoji6]

To the OP, you will get honest advice on here, raw, unadorned & no pink ribbon bow on top. If you want it wrapped in lovey touchy feely marshmallow, other places are available. Oh! Btw, welcome to ribnet, if you stay the course you'll be wiser & better informed.

Best thing to do mate is look on eBay , boats and outboards, etc and see what's around for your budget you will soon see where you are, you might get a desent SIB if your lucky for that kind of money. The comments may sound harsh but you will see why when you have done some research.

Welcome and happy hunting.

All the negative vibes

You could try offering on this:

Humber Alpha 4.8m Rib | eBay

It could do with 40 or even 50hp mind, but spent many an hour in a Humber Alpha. including a trip from NI to Scotland with 4 lads for a dive and then back again.

Hi
I have a Honwave 3.5 (Honwave wheels also that were shop fitted), oars & storage bags included
Tohatsu 20.
25L Tohatsu Fuel Tank & connector
Electric Pump,
2 x Crewsave life-jackets (gas fittings)
Bravo 12 BST HP Superturbo 12v Inflator
Standard Horizon HX870E Ship Radio (still in Box, never used)
Anchor & Chain,

This boat and engine were bought as a package. I have all paperwork from purchase, manuals, spare plugs etc. The engine has done less than 40 hours.

Boat and Engine are in excellent/very good condition, they have been well looked after. Unfortunately ill-health forces the sale. Only used by my wife and I )we are in our 60's). I am about to take this to Exeter and sell it back to the Marine shop I bought it from but would rather it went to a good home and miss out the middle man. Please Tel: 07900 894020
