Rib wanted 5.4 to 7 metres
Hi, looking for something suitable for coastal excursions. Hence engine must be bulletproof(preferably low hours)and Hull must be suitable. Don't really want to have to do any work other than maybe add seats or extra battery etc. Ideally in Scotland but will go anywhere mainland uk for the right boat.
Budget approx 5-7k
Anything out there?

Bad news fella, your budget is a bit shy for your list of requirements.
You may find a 5-5.5m within budget, but 'low hours' is a big ask.
Just a tip, a 2m difference in length re. rib length is massive. To say 'I'm looking at 5-7m' is akin to 'I'm looking for a small family hatch of a Landcruiser' Add to that a tight budget and it may pay to stick around the 5m and not waste fuel on viewing 6m+ shaggers.

Yep. Be VERY careful of project boats, particularly ones that look like they don't need much work. It's always 10x what you think, parts are 3x what you think and you need 3x as many of them as you think

Echo what others have said. £5-7k for a bullet-proof low hours engine and suitable hull is a tad unrealistic. As Mad Max would say... 'two days ago I saw a vehicle that could haul that tanker'... which brings me on to trailers. You'll be looking at a braked trailer, probably twin axle for something up to 7m, and judging by the Swiss cheese that gets regularly posted on here that used to resemble a galvanised steel trailer, then be aware of the likely costs to overhaul.
This is what I've found. Just throwing a few ideas out there so you know what's on the market, a chance to weigh up the pros and cons of your budget, etc.
Anyway, good luck.

My wild card. Sod the budget, this is a lot of boat for the money.

Thanks for that, really appreciate the time you've taken. Had seen some of those but a few I hadn't. Still got a bit of hope to find something roughly with my parameters. Got one or two up my sleeve and hopefully going to get something in the next week. I will reveal all of course and look forward to maybe meeting up with some fellow ribnetter's 😃

Rib wanted 5.4 to 7 metres
Bought in Falkirk privately, 2001. Very clean, great tubes. One owner who had it built to his spec. North craft 5.8. Cat b hull. Can't guarantee hours unfortunately but it's the only one I've found with the history and you get a feel for the guy who's selling. Trust was there. Slight teething prob with control cables which need replaced due to being used twice in 18 months but had it out yesterday and flies at 41 mph. Slightly more than my top budget but alot of boat.
