Sorry but no desire to sell my SR4 at present, it's just so much fun
But "White Streak", PeterM's SR4 with the porn seats is up for sale, and it's priced very realistically. I took it for a spin round Scratchells bay (just south of the needles) on Saturday and it's fantastic fun. Seats 4, does 34 kts, Electric start and PTT, 40 HP Johnson. If you look at the 30th Nov trip thread you will see video of the actual SR4 in action. Why not PM PeterM.
The reason I was asking if less than 5m was acceptable is that a SR4.7 would be in the OP's price bracket and they are another fantastic rib.

No you cant,, its snot a rib!!! dude why did you buy that,, they r awful.american lake boats, Not for British waters at all. No its not, its a massed produced flat water craft. for 360 days a year you wont be able to use it because the wind will be blowing!
Wanting a 6 mtr rib and a binliner are really two completely different boats!!
Horses for course as they say

Have you sea trialled it? If you haven't it might be a good idea before you part with your money. With a 19 degree deadrise that hull isn't likely to be a lot of fun in anything but the flattest conditions.

i have & was amazed at how sharp it turns.
to be honest im not wanting to go out in rough seas as will use mainly for knee & wakeboarding. luckily if sea is too rough im not far from the large & protected cardiff bay which im told being protected the water is calmer & big enough to ski in.

I did read about the hull angle before buying but that angle is typical of most american & canadian boats.
if i was just interested in sea use in all weathers it would hands down be a rib.
its worth noting that there is more to it than just angle & there was mention of the design of this hull (difference in front to rear & something else they mentioned in the review) making up for the angle. but yes i know, still not a RIB.

I really would not take that in the severn dude.. They are for flat water use only and thats it. Definately not for the second most tidal river on the planet!! No way!! In stirred up muddy water you cannot see debris. Last year a searay was nearly submerged after hittin a log outside littleton. A rib would have remain bouyant.
Ive gone out when flat calm from cardiff. 30 mins later latet even my sr was struggling to get back.. An american flat boat would NOT have made it!!

i do hear you, that's why i will only be using it on calm days & keeping very very local when i use at sea (which is fine as not using it for sight seeing, just playing so happy to stay very local)
rest of the time will defo be cardiff bay where its very safe.
I also want to try to find other local fresh water sites if there are any... big reservoir near us but im assuming only non engine boats allowed on reservoirs.
