Hi and Welcome to Ribnet! See this type of post quite a bit,and the thing that springs to mind always..being a 'Newbie' is you still have a bit of research to do..
There is ALOT of difference between a 5M and 7M Boat..apart from the Handling..and Price-capabilitys- Towing Storage Running/Maintainance costs ect,Pluss the fact you have'nt expressed a preference for type of Engine-Just..'Inboard or Outboard'Layout-Sports or Liesure ect..ect or Budget! suggests you need to do get some hands on, see what YOU want from your Boating and take it from there!!
Dont want to pour water on your wine but...(Unless your a Scammer..trying your luck)But It always pays! There is plenty of good advice on here to help,Good Luck!

I'd suggest having a look in the RIBs for Sale section on here...
Outside of that, your query will attract loads of PMs from dealers who are too tight to pay their Trade Memberships and therefore can't advertise their products openly. Obviously, these guys can be trusted

Done loads of research on engines (power, fuel consumption, reliability) & RIBs.
Have an ideal length & layout in mind but am flexible hence being so vague in my request.
seen soooooo many fake ads out there there seems to be more cons than genuine ones on the net

''Done loads of research on engines (power, fuel consumption, reliability)& RIBs'' Really?
....Obviously time well spent ..Well at least you narrowed it down to 5-7m inboard or Outboard!

To be honest 6-7m is ideal & outboard 100HP - 150HP but that said i have seen a bigger one with inboard which was so nice had it been a few hundred less i would happily have gone for it.
So whilst i know exactly what i want, they come in so many configurations with engines, seats etc. that i dont want to get hung up looking for the perfect one as that would risk "not seeing the forest for the trees" as the saying goes.

Cheaper than £9,450?
Hope that's 'cheaper' at the smaller end of your desired list?
If you find a 7m with a nice diesel inboard for under £9k I will have one as well!

If you give us your maximum budget you want to spend we can all give advice and help you find your boat. Less than 9.5k is a bit too vague.
Would you consider less than 5m length ?

Sorry Chris but that would be too small.
Actually, if you look there are plenty to be had for £6000-£7000 & before you say, no, not wrecks. its Winter! i missed out on several but only because i was mid research & didnt want to rush in until i was sure.

well, what else can I add, you are obviously far more experienced than me if you've got 20 years behind you as a asset valuer & dealer all I know is that after the last 18 months or so, following being diagnosed with bowel cancer, my only advice would be that you can wait for ever to prove everyone wrong and come upon a really great deal, much better to enjoy what you've got while you can, you never know what's round the corner

I agree with you, life is too short. but there is a middle ground between rushing in & waiting for ever. Just bought a Navara which took me2 months to find but got virtually everything i wanted so worth the wait... dont want to be waiting years but as its winter, happy to wait a month or two if i have to... that said, itis a pain searching every single night but thats the price you pay to get the right deal i guess...
mind you, if i had more money, id just rush out & pay what ever i had to in order to get one fast as its boring being sensible
