Rib Wanted Cash Waiting!
Hi
I'm looking for a 5-7m RIB, build year 2015/2016 preferred. Sorry not interested in older boats.
Happy to consider most layouts but ideally suitable for family, skiing, etc.
With or without trailer.
Happy to travel anywhere in the UK for the right boat. Private or trade offerings welcome.
Cash in hand, ready to buy now.
Thanks
Stu

you have boat show soon.
Go and look maybe be any good offers for demo boats.
why 5 - 7m ?? There is big difference between 5m boat happy with 90-115 HP
And 6,5 m boat require 150 HP. And big difference in the cost.
Like Zodiac Pro Open 650 for 40 000 EUR and Zodiac Pro Open 550 for 30 000 EUR
I can tow my Highfield OM540DL on the trailer GVW 1300kg. (5,5m boat with engine 115HP)
But 6,5m with 150 HP engine will exceed my car towing limit ...

That's pretty specific criteria Stu. Only wonder if it's to do with remaining engine warranty? This is outwith your age limit, but Ribquest have an excellent name and the boat is well laid-out in terms of family seating. Price wise... it's still a fair chunk of cash but looks mint.

Very nice boat.
I can say - optimum for my needs. (Family of 5 => 2 + 3 teenagers)
Not sure if 1300 (I assume that it is GVW for the trailer) is enough.
For me fantastic seats (jockey and rear bench) - much better looking than on mine boat. Probably more comfortable.
Is it new ? There is not any info about mth on her ?
>>>>>
The only one negative (for me) why do not side mount control instead of central one

I will be keeping it either on a dry stack or marina so max 7m to keep fees sub £5K and will never tow other than perhaps to store at home, But I'm pretty sure I can tow up to 3500kg with my car. Have a budget of around 40Kish so may end up going for a new boat if I can't find what I want used. I want something fast and scary that I can enjoy but still be able to take the wife and kids out to the beach.

Spot on with the engine warranty ! I've had bad experiences with old engines, some almost life threatening and some just expensive.
This Ribquest looks good. May well take a look at this.
Cheers !

"I will be keeping it either on a dry stack or marina so max 7m to keep fees sub £5K"
Dry Stacking a 7m rib (with unlimited launch and recovery all year) should cost you no more than £3,290 p/a inc VAT.
An 8m would only be £470 more
