Ribcraft 585 wanted

Hello all, is anyone selling or thinking of selling a RC585 in the near future? I currently have a Humber 5.5 that I'm thinking about upgrading from. Budget around 10k

Thanks chaps. I'm on the Ribcraft owners group and keeping a keen eye. The one that is for sale in Plymouth seems pretty much immaculate but perhaps quite dearly priced for that sized engine?

Be interesting to hear others opinion ,but i reckon thats right on your budget ,if you look at selling that two stroke thats on ther and upgrade a bit then you should have a nice outfit for 14k ish ,main beauty is in the trailer ,it looks nice sbs well kept ,no point having a fast boat if you can never get to the coast imo.

I do have some regret for not managing to scrape the cash together for that one in Plymouth. Sold for 11k, just before I sold my boat. Shame. Still looking for the dream

Still on the look out. As time goes by my budget increases which is a bonus of nothing being on the market I suppose. Budget in the mid teens for the right boat

If you're in the area it's always worth dropping by the Factory to ask what they know of that may be coming up...to get ahead of the game
How I bought my 80 hrs "545"...and a couple other RIBs... I learnt about and passed on to others.
A phone call to Charlie may be worth a call....but in my experience an in-person visit is always best

Plenty of owners who up-grade or go new, often only put thier present Boats on the open market/up for sale ..just before .....or after delivery

Thanks, all. I did have a look at the one in Poole (Diver 1 on here I believe). A good boat for sure but I wasn't sure how much life the tubes had left so it wasn't for me.

Thanks for the RC factory tip. Dorian has previously mooted at boats coming up for sale too but it hasn't come to anything yet. Still keeping my eyes peeled and growing the budget.

In the current situation that is difficult and even if it is allowed, if circumstances permit, people should think twice.

Yep fair point.....although I'm sure most members are up to keeping to the "Covid restrictions" (although often localised and ever changing) and in thier minds

....I did (for once) forgot PC Vultures are always on duty ...and circleing

Roll on the Vacine ..roll out!
....hopefully it will provide some return to normality!

..At least until we get "Hit" with another one!
