Small RIB with trailer wanted
I'm 4'9 and not strong, so i'm in the market for a small rib which must have the following spec;
3.2m max
Remote steering
Power trim and tilt
Roll on trailer
All over cover
Not older than 3 years old
Within 20 miles of Chichester
If you know anyone who can help, please let me know.
Thanks

The small (3.2m?) Brig ribs are rated to 25hp, so one of these, may suit your requirements. Avon 3.1 is a nice boat, but only rated to 15hp max.

Whoops! Sorry. It was the 'Densities Child' boat name which threw me.
Are you now sorted with a boat or not?

Hi Kathy
I think you'll be ok for remote steering but not so sure if power tilt and trim is available on outboards until you get about 40hp ish? You should be able to find a roller trailer though for that size rib.
What are you going to use the rib for? that will give us a better idea of what to recommend, also what sort of colours? Is a orange and grey rib out of the question?
Can the rib be bigger than 3.2m or is it going to be a tender? It's just that a 4m rib is absolutely no trouble to launch and recover etc and a much nicer ride too.
Hope that helps.

Depends on the 10hp. Most will accept remotes though-I've got an 8hp that takes them.
Power tilt starts at about 20hp I think, but on newer motors.

I'd say for your requirements an avon 310 with centre console is the best bet, what i'd be looking for anyway...

I already have a tiller steering version, but having recently done my powerboat level 2 in a remote steerer, think its v much easier and more comfortable.

I'm not saying this is ideal for you but have a look at this one as I don't think it sold and it may be more along the lines of what you used in your pb2

I think she mentioned wanting something light and a 3.2m max size....
There is a r310 with centre console and 10hp on it in the local marina, and it flies, probobly does about 15 knots, my boat just edges past it. (I get 17kts max out of mine) I expect the avon would be a better sea boat and having the console would inherentily feel safer....
If I was going to stay in tender territory and buy something else, it would be a r310 wth a 15hp and small console, missed out on one on gumtree a few months ago (had a 10 but would have been fine) going for 1100 quid.
