What reports about the Valiant? I'd be interested to know!

I have a Valiant 520 with a 60HP 2 Stroke with red tubes (Almost what you were after...but not actually for sale!)

Hi,

Set my heart on buying a Valiant 520 with 60hp but not sure now. I just been looking on google for link report that said not as good as Ribcraft or Humber. Mind you at the end of the day it's about what budget you have and what you want to do with the Rib.

In the past anyone on here looking for a particular brand has been directed towards a whole heap of boats they never considered. Better have a few makes and models in mind and concentrate on finding a good one rather than ending up with the exact thing you want but ending up with a pile of rubbish.

As for Valiants, I saw a loverly 5m+ on the slip the other day, I'd not have swapped it for mine for it though.

I have a 2010 Avon 470, same the Zodiac Pro, with a 2010 Marina 60 EFI for sale, great boat and very good spec but may not be big enough for you.

I had a Valiant 5.2M as my second RIB, couldn't fault it, was a brilliant boat, infact there are times when I miss it.

Well that's very good news and at last a good report about them. I think all the good used Ribs seem to be down south from where i live. Can't go by what pics look like, just need to spend more time driving and looking.

Thanks
Rib look like new so good in pics but think maybe too small for my needs, 490, 500, 520, 530, in length may be better.
Regards
Nicky

The one I had was here

RIBnet Forums - View Single Post - Lets see ya boat then

Thought it was very well made ... huge bow locker was great although the door a little flimsy

Big tubes and shallower 'V' that meant a beach launch in shallow water was a doddle

Hi Nicky
I had the same problem while looking for a new boat as most of them are on the south coast, in the end Sandy and I made a list of boats and yards to visit off the web.
Then over a long w'end stopping over two nights we had a road trip down to and along the south coast from here on merseyside, it was worth it in the end as we found our new boat and she's brill.
