Wanted 8seat (ish) MCA Coded RIB

Hi,

I am looking for an MCA minimum cat2 coded RIB, with around 8 seats in it. must be in good order. Needed urgently, (by the end of the week) so not too fussy. around thew 7m mark would be great, nothing too big. Based in Scotland but will travel.

Michael,

You might struggle finding a Cat 2 as short as 7m, especially at that short notice. Is Integrity available: Scotland Rib Charter - Boat Charter - Cabin RIB otherwise the obvious choice would have been quinquari (Tony Hill @ Easdale) or Coastal Connection in Oban - but despite both being big cabin ribs I think they are "only" cat 3.

NEARLY NEW RC 7.8 on here in the For Sale section that would soon take a Codeing..if it would suit your Budget.
May be worth a call to the Factory too.

Cat 2 will most likely need to be a cabin, cannot see Cat 2 on open RIB, most likely will be Cat 3 or Cat 3 restricted
Solent have two cat 2 Cabin Rib Charter | 9m Ribcraft Offshore | 11m Redbay Stormforce may be worth a call but all but a few of their RIBS are at the G8

If no one local can do it, still try Solent Rib Charter as they have RIBs coming back I think Friday and will come into Scotland from Ireland I think

Sorry for the vagueness of my first post. I am looking to buy, not charter a 7m (roughly) rib with 8(roughly)seats and coded to cat 4 or 5 ( I think, I'm new to the coding side of things and am finding it a bit confusing) it is to replace a rib that is no longer fit for purpose on the west coast of Scotland taking guests water skiing, on towables, on tours of the area and to isolated beaches for lunch.

We have a 9.5m Humber Quinquari RIB in our workshops for sale at Ballachulish. It is advertised on RIBnet boats for sale. see

Further details available - it can be good to go and resurveyed quickly (It must be resurveyed on sale whoever you purchase your RIB from)
The RIB was coded to Cat 4 but it can be coded Cat 3R for limited nightime work with restrictions if required.
