Had RIBS years ago, now looking for a quality RIB 6.5m - 8m.... prefer single engine, condition & quality over age, trailer required..... we will be cruising inshore, bay hopping etc....

Hi I am thinking about selling my rib. Not on the market yet.
It is a ballistic hull that’s been totally rebuilt To cope with offshore conditions.
7.5m with an Evinrude 225 with upgraded emu to produce 250hp.
I put new nav radio and seats etc on last season and she’s only been out once since.
I had a health issue so haven’t been able to go out at all and it looms like I won’t be fit this season.

I have a 2008 Ribeye A600 6 metre RIB with 100hp Yamaha outboard that I am thinking of selling to move up to a larger cabin cruiser. Bought from Ribeye last year with 210 hours on engine and in immaculate condition. Now done 300 hours. Engine just serviced and in perfect condition. Trailer hubs and brakes replaced a few weeks ago because brakes kept sticking on. Seats 9 and does 35 knots. Boat looks stunning and gets complimented regularly. We use it out of Falmouth. Worth a look as this RIB should give years of trouble free boating if looked after. Comes with consul cover, all over cover, electric pump, oars, boathook, fenders etc. Looking for £24 k

HI i have a Rib X made in Leicester. 140 Suzuki, auxiliary bracket, plotter and VHF, radio, bilge pump, trailer etc. all ropes and fenders, very dry ride due to hull design.
i can send photos if interested.

Could you give me more details of your RIB like year built, Engine size, make and hours. Navigation equipment. Is a trailer in the deal. 6 or 8 photos would be useful. Your location.

Go as big as you can afford, there's a massive ownership difference (usable space, storage, seating, sea keeping etc etc) between a 6.5 and 8m, I've been fortunate to run both sizes and love the 8m RIB

See this is an old post. What you really want is a 7meter Willard. Has a single inboard Cummins Turbo Diesel (which literally run FOREVER). Theyre the same motors all the delivery trucks (lorrys) use here in the states. Also the same as Dodge Ram 2500-3500 turbo diesels. They come with single outdrive legs. They are amazing turn key runners and available for 25k in UK money. We have them for around 35k USD up to 50k USD for very very nice ones. Hope this helps. If you do go with outboards, Honda's are the way to go as far as maintenance cost, ease and life. Almost our entire fleet of port security vessel run twin Honda outboards for this reason.
