Wanted SR4 and advice!

I have been looking to upgrade my Avon Supersport hull to an SR4 hull for about a year now, I keep an eye out on here and flea bay but i either miss them or they are out of my price range!

I am looking for a hull or hull and trailer only and i don't mind it being a bit of a project as budget is pretty tight Now the advice bit...

One has come up near me and i have been to have a look but i have a few questions, the hull seems in ok condition although covered in gloss paint, would this be easy enough to remove and return to a nice shiny gelcoat?

The tubes are pretty tired, two valves leak and one is missing! having a look at previous threads, I think I can replace them but as a rib repairing novice am I being unrealistic? Also my avon has a kind of tape (and i am probably using the wrong word here) over all of the seams, is this one missing stuff or just different? The guy selling it mentioned maybe painting the the tibes with a two part hyperlon paint to reseal them but everything i have read on here implies painting tubes is bad?

The tansom feels solid but has a third brace (see image) i have never seen this? could it covering up all manner of rot and horribleness? Also my transom has a band across the top protecting it, the one on the sr4 has exposed ply with some cracks in the layers of ply.

And finally what do you think it is worth, looking at the hull plate i make her age to be made in 1981, the trailer is ok for me but, not road legal and given all the above bits....

Sorry for the essay but any advice greatly recieved and also any offers of any suitable hulls

Thanks,

Simon

Third brace and additional timber not standard.

Split plywood and the above would suggest the transom is not happy :-(
