I responded to a for sale add from Manos who said he could supply ribs and motors up to 30% cheaper than everyone else. But still no reply. Does anyone know him ?

Scotty never got your email (I don't even believe you have sent me one).
If you had sent to me an email I would have replied as I did to so many other people.

I do know him. Don't belive he wouldn't reply to any mail.
Maybe that mail demon is responsible.

To be fair to Scotty, he didn't exactly slag you off. He just wondered if anyone knew whether or not you were genuine. Problems do happen with email servers, and it's possible his just got lost on the way to you, and if it did, he'd have no way of knowing.

Computers are wonderful things, WHEN they work.

I asked Manos for some more information about 5.5 - 6 metre boats as i'm currently looking to buy my first and for simular money to a second hand boat he can supply me with a brand new boat and engine with the complete set up i want on the boat, problem was there's not a boat available in the UK for me to look at and try, yes the pictures look very good and yes he's able to provide me with a new complete set up for the same money as a 90hp honda 4 stroke but would you buy a boat without trying it or even seeing it first ?

In Manos's defence he was very helpful and very quick to get back to me with the information and he has invited me out to Greece to try a boat out, but due to lack of holiday and available funds i'm not able to go, plus i'd have a hard time getting that one past the wife too.

If i can help with anything please let me know.

Thanks for the commenst guys.
Any way Bildge you are most wellcome to Greece, however I will be having a few boats delivered in the UK as I have now orders for two 5.10s RSRs, one 6.50 converted for diving with twin engines and three 7.00 mtrs.
I will also bring, just to show, a range of boats from 5 - 7 mtrs (including the new 5.40 same look as the 7 RSR and as fast) in Arpil 2003. If you can wait till then. It takes 4 months from the day of ordering to delivery in the uk (inc 30 day sea journey).
Any way guys better to drop the subject. This is just water under the bridge.
One thing is certain possibly I will have to pay commision to the Forum moderator for all this business I got.

It is a very good investment. As I said to u b4 It started as a hobby and now is looking like is going to be a very good business Think that the Fantom 7.50 x-demo sells for £ 28,000.00 and ours 0.50 less but with same engine as the fantom etc etc and trailer sells between £17-18000 brand new.

Well, is still a hobby and not a business. You need lots and lots of dosh to do it and make proper money (not a few hundred pounds).
As I have said in another thread this is ONLY a HOBBY (for the time being that is) and when it actually becomes a real business will let everyone know.
