Why ??

OK, so any of you bdding ribsters out there know why I cannot find the right RIB for me? The second hand market seems so slow at the moment... - I know thw season doesn't end for another week but why cant I find the right boat?
I've not long said goodbye to my last RIB - a 5.4m with a Yammy 115 V4 and need to be out on that water !
I have around £14k to spend - its sitting in the bank!
The ideal RIB I guess would be as follows:
RIBTEC 6.5 (ish)
150 Vmax or 150 HPDI
2 * single jockeys
2 * double jockeys
Single / Double Console
A frame
Trailer
Am I expecting too much for my money, or has the right thing just not come along yet?

You don't see a lot of RIBTECs for sale, and when you do, they are usually either Camels or older boats. The only Ribtec I've ever seen with a 150hpdi is almost brand new, and 14k wouldn't get any where near it. But that's academic as it isn't for sale. You are looking for a boat with the "right" spec, but there aren't very many for sale. Nearest matches are probably in the for sale section here, I reckon.

If you're looking for a fairly new boat, say within the last couple of years, then I personally think you are going to be hard pushed to find one of that spec for 14k. As Richard says, you don't often see Ribtec's up for sale and they do hold their price quite well.

There is a 7m Ribtec for sale here although probably to old for you, even this 7 year old boat is up for at 12k

I would take along a tape measure if you want to look at that boat - I'm sure it was advertised last year as a 6.55! Mind you, in fairness, I think that in '96 they made only 6.45s and 7s so maybe the previous broker was under selling it.
