i am relatively new to this forum and am after my second boat, the first being a 12ft £500 speedboat!! initially i had been searching for an avon sr4 but since stumbling across the threads of you and your sib's adventures my eyes have been opened to an alternative to ribs! could you explain your reasons for choosing a soft hulled boat over a rigid one? the main obvious benefits to me are ease of launching, easy to beach, economical and simple layout. i would be looking around the 3.8m mark as i believe coupled with a 25hp 2stroke this would give the best peformance & ease of launching combo. ive got my eye on a 4.2 with a 40 yam but fear it would be impossible to launch without the trailer.
