Just curious about your sizing of your outboard...does that exceed what is recommended on your transome plate?? If so does the coast guard or the equivalent give you a hard time about oversized hp

It's a 5.3m and is rated to a 90hp so yes it exceeds the rating. Never had a problem with coast guard or harbour masters as they take no notice of things like this. It's not actually any faster either just a hell of a lot smoother but eat fuel like its going out of fashion
