I have a single light pole made from 50mm stainless steel. It drops into a bracket mounted on the outside of the transom and is secured there with a bolt. Wiring for the Radio Aerial and Nav lights...

No DSC radio will transmit a distress alert if the MMSI has not been properly loaded into it - putting it in the contacts list is NOT the right place!
There is usually an "MMSI check" function...
