no its def not heat as it will start almost straight away. first time it happened as i said i just ticked over back to mooring but second time it happened in almost the same spot ,as i was retuning...

engine cuts out then ok
as said above. engine fine for a while then suddenly cuts out. established fuel ok and filters.
i just maybe suspect electrics as after stalling, the ignition was completley dead. no power to lights...

priming every few minutes
its a mercury 90 two stroke.
done very few hours since a major service although that was in 2019. but hardly been out since as covid came along.

breather screw
if air can get then can fuel get out. the reason i ask is that there is no smell of petrol which you always get a strong wiff of on any leaks.

have to prime every few minutes ?
well had the new/ replacement line back into the original tank. but i now have found engine stalling but needs to prime it after a few minutes on the wet stuff.

fuel tank.
wondered if i could get the crap out of the tank at just before the filter end (near the engine.)
would so love to have fuel in the tank as it holds so much more and safer than dealing with plastic...

hi all,
i have a viking 5.5. the service guy suggests my fuel tank is full of "rubbish" so wants to convert to outside plastic tank.
i would rather keep the the original tank as it means trips...

no not moved the engine. as it was used as a dive noat i assumed the height was set to accomodate the divers but a cover over the transom seems the easiest way to go.
