Can anybody tell me if a 80-120hp, 1996, Mariner, trim and tilt unit will work on a 60hp Mariner outboard, again 1996?

Trim and tilt nightmare..
On closer inspection having removed the unit at the weekend we have found a pin hole on the back of the ram just above the spine above a ball bearing if that makes sense..
Does anybody have a power...
