Fuel economy
Has anyone got any figures on the fuel economy of a 3.80m inflatable with a 30hp 2 stroke? Im thinking a 23 litre tank should be good for atleast 40 miles travelling fairly swift on calm sea.

As an update, the adapter that Ribshop sent me works great. Such a simple device and the boat now fills with ease, top up with footpump not necessary.

I have a 30hp 2 stroke and wondering if flushing through with gravity fed water from a 20L container would suffice. The motor would be on its stand and the container would probably be on top of the...

Why don't valve adapters have a cross piece within them that would force the valve spring down and therefore open the valve for easier inflation?
We could then use electric pumps to fill the...

I found out that the engine is ex surf life saving and the tilt mech is removed for them. I contacted the life saving guys and they just use a broom handle.
I suppose I could buy a new tilt mech.

Motor for 3.8m
Ive got a Zebec 380A and choosing from a 15, 20 and 25hp motors 2 or 4 stroke. There will usually only be 2 people on board but maybe an extra person or 2 on occasion. What motor would you buy?
